Mary D. Jackson, MS, LPC
Mary is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS). She holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and has specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) for OCD and related disorders. She also has expertise in Activity Therapy, Group Counseling, Family Therapy, and Child-Parent Relationship Training. Additionally, she is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens and Child-Centered Play Therapy.
During her time at SMU’s Centers for Family Counseling in Plano and Frisco ISD, Mary served as a lead counselor, working with at-risk children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns.
Mary believes that personal growth and meaningful change occur within a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. She is committed to walking alongside her clients, helping them gain insight and awareness to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Her approach integrates mindfulness and therapeutic activities tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Outside of her work, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, two dogs, and two cats. She is an avid reader, swimmer, and a devoted coffee enthusiast!
